John Lambert practices primarily in the area
of personal injury and workers compensation. He is licensed to practice law in
all courts of the State of Nevada and the State of California. He is also
admitted to practice in the Federal District Court and the Ninth Circuit Court
of Appeals. John is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America,
the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association, the Washoe County Bar, and the Elko County
Bar.
John is a Vietnam veteran who, after service as a Hospital Corpsman with the Marines, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, as well as a Masters degree from San Diego State University.
He attended Tulane Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana where he received his law degree (JD) in 1989. John worked for the Nevada Attorney for Injured Workers in Carson City, Nevada, representing individuals injured on the job in workers compensation appeals. John next worked for the State Industrial Insurance System (now Employers Insurance Company of Nevada) representing the insurance company in workers compensation cases. This experience gave him a unique perspective that helped him to better understand the workers compensation insurance system. John has worked on literally thousands of workers compensation cases over the years.
John also worked for the Attorney General's Office, representing the Department of Transportation. John defended the State of Nevada in cases dealing with personal injury, eminent domain, civil rights, and employment law. John performed trial work in State and Federal District Court and appeals to the Nevada Supreme Court. John worked as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Reno. In this capacity, John defended the police and the city in civil rights cases.
John moved to Elko, Nevada in 2001, and joined Easterly, Armstrong & Lambert, which later became Armstrong, Lambert & Kidwell. John represented hundreds of individuals in personal injury and workers compensation cases. In addition, John performed all of the appellate work for Armstrong, Lambert & Kidwell. He also did all of the civil litigation in State and Federal District Court for the law firm. Since coming to Elko, John has successfully helped his clients collect millions of dollars in medical malpractice claims, automobile injuries and on-the-job injuries, as well as other areas of legal representation.
Recently, John has started his own law practice, but he remains in the beautiful and historic building that was formerly the home of Armstrong, Lambert & Kidwell at Sixth and Pine Street in downtown Elko. Today, John is practicing law under the name John E. Lambert, Ltd. The mission of this law firm is to offer dedicated representation to all clients.
